Dani was born and grew up in Tokyo and moved to the U.S. in 1993 and has been living in Prescott, AZ since 1997. She decided to join the ACT, fascinated by the power and beauty of the all-accordion band. As for the accordion, she regrets having neglected it totally after she took a memorable summer lesson at age 10. Naturally, she has been struggling since she woke up to learn again decades later, in 2011 to be precise, but enjoys every moment of it. She has been a member of a Prescott folk band since last summer. Otherwise she edits and translates news articles for Japanese media from her home or wherever she may be with her little computer. She also photographs the beautiful and ugly as she trots the globe.
